Do you know a teen who seeks a challenge beyond your school’s art program? Explore NCMA’s new online courses to challenge your advanced art students.
Through a grant funded program, the Museum has collaborated with North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) to offer a series of courses over a period of five years. This collaboration benefits schools by giving NC students an opportunity to engage online with NCMA works of art with advance course offerings in a variety of popular subjects.
Imagine interviews with contemporary artists and filmmakers in the galleries combined with exciting projects and discussion boards. These courses combine object-based approaches in the galleries with project-based applications.
There are currently three NCVPS/NCMA courses available to students this fall: Art of Photography, Art of Persuasion and Art of Game Design. In addition to these three courses, students can also register for Art of Videography for Spring 2013. Art of Fashion will be the final course in the series to be offered Fall 2013. Successful completion of Art I is required for all of our courses. For more information and course codes, visit www.ncartmuseum.org/virtual_public_school/.
